FCA Launch Firm Checker An easy to use service to protect your money.

Learn how to find out if a financial firm is genuine.

The Financial Conduct Authority has launched a new service called firm checker so you can find out if a financial firm is genuine.

Nearly all financial firms have to be registered with the FCA and but they do state there are caveats.

“This tool is designed for consumers to understand if a firm has our permission to offer a financial product or service. We hold more information about firms that we haven’t included on this tool. For example, published restrictions relating to crypto activities, historic fines, their right to approve financial promotions, and their ability to handle client money. You can find this information on the Financial Services Register along with information on individuals.”

FCA also publish useful information on how to protect your money, understand financial products and protecting yourself from scams.
