These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Silverskys online content publishing platform (the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform. If, for any reason, we believe that you have not complied with these terms and conditions, we may, at our sole discretion, cancel or restrict your access to all or part of the Silverskys Site immediately and without prior notice.
User Accounts
Account Creation: To use certain features of the Platform, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during the registration process and to keep your account information up to date.
You will not create registration accounts for the purpose of abusing the functionality of the Guardian Site, or other users; nor will you seek to pass yourself off as another user.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.
Age Restriction: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 13, you may only use the Platform with parental consent.
Content
General: Your use of the Silverskys Site and Silverskys Content is for your own personal and non-commercial use only. You may download and print extracts from the Silverskys Content for your own personal and non-commercial use only, provided you maintain and abide by any author attribution, copyright or trademark notice or restriction in any material that you download or print.
You shall not use any service, software, device, tool, method, program, technique, algorithm or process to circumvent any restriction, condition, protection or technological measure that controls access to the Silverskys Content in any way, including bypassing or circumventing any access controls or use limits of the Silverskys Content (including, by way of example, robots.txt internet protocols or similar or successor protocols).
For the avoidance of doubt, Silverskys reserves all rights in Silverskys Content, (including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market and amending Directives 96/9/EC and 2001/29/EC) and similar reserved rights in other jurisdictions.
Except as expressly authorised by Silverskys, you are not allowed to create a database in electronic or paper form comprising all or part of the material appearing on the Silverskys Site.
User-Generated Content: Users are solely responsible for the content they publish on the Platform. By publishing content on Silverskys, you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to do so.
You or the owner of the content still own the copyright in the content sent to us, but by submitting content to us, you are granting us an unconditional, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully transferable, perpetual worldwide licence to use, publish and/or transmit, and to authorise third-parties to use, publish and/or transmit your content in any format and on any platform, either now known or hereafter invented.
We, or authorised third parties, reserve the right to cut, crop, edit or refuse to publish, your content at our or their sole discretion. We may remove your content from use at any time.
We accept no liability in respect of any content submitted by users and published by us or by authorised third parties.
You acknowledge and agree that when you post content on the Silverskys Site or view content provided by others, you are doing so at your own discretion and risk, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, of that content. You further acknowledge and agree that the views expressed by you and other users in that content do not necessarily reflect the views of Silverskys, and we do not support or endorse any user content.
We, or authorised third parties, reserve the right to cut, crop, edit or refuse to publish, your content at our or their sole discretion. We may remove your content from use at any time.
Content Guidelines: You agree not to publish or engage in any activity on the Platform that is illegal, violates our community standards, or infringes upon the rights of others.
The Silverskys website provides a growing number of opportunities for readers who wish to discuss content we publish, or debate issues more generally. Our aim is to ensure this platform is inclusive and safe, and that the Silverskys website is the place on the net where you will always find lively, entertaining and, above all, intelligent discussions.
Platform Access and Use
License: Silverskys grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal and non-commercial purposes.

Silverskys reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms.

Changes to Terms
Silverskys may update or modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the revised Terms on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, express or implied. Silverskys does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Platform.
Disclaimer of Liability
To the extent permitted at law, we do not accept any responsibility for any statement in the Silverskys Content. Nothing in the Silverskys Content is provided for any specific purpose or at the request of any particular person. For the avoidance of confusion, we will not be liable for any loss caused as a result of your doing, or not doing, anything as a result of reading the Silverskys Content or any part of it. You can access other sites via links from the Silverskys Site. These sites are not under our control and we are not responsible in any way for any of their contents.
We give no warranties of any kind concerning the Silverskys Site or the Silverskys Content. In particular, we do not warrant that the Silverskys Site or any of its contents is virus free. You must take your own precautions in this respect as we accept no responsibility for any infection by virus or other contamination or by anything which has destructive properties.
Although we will do our best to provide constant, uninterrupted access to the Silverskys Site, we do not guarantee this. We accept no responsibility or liability for any unavailability, interruption or delay.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
